The Villa’s name is inextricably linked to the **Marquis Incontri family**, originally from Volterra, who established the Florentine branch of their nobility here. The property, once an ancient villa between Careggi and Montughi, was formally acquired by Giovanni di Iacopo Antonio Incontri in the late 18th century, and the lane was eventually named after the family. Today, the villa remains the historic residence of the Incontri Marquises, who continue to welcome guests, sharing the warmth and history of their family legacy.
Set within an extensive **park of 8 hectares**, the grounds retain the noble and bucolic character of the early 19th century, featuring centuries-old trees, a serene olive grove with 600 plants, and charming gardens.

An absolutely stunning villa...
”An absolutely stunning villa within walking distance to Florence city centre. We took over the whole villa for five days as part of our wedding weekend. To say that our guests were blown away is a complete understatement, the villa has unbelievable character everywhere you look. This villa has everything you want, including tonnes of space inside, pool, BBQ and fantastic space in the gardens. Ginevra & Fortuny were the most gracious hosts, answering all of our questions before the stay, giving insider knowledge of where to get the best food and places to visit and providing endless hospitality. We will most certainly be going back!
Words can’t express just how grateful Gary and I are to you all. The personal touches, constant suburb hospitality, flexible nature and willingness to answer my (endless) questions on the lead up to our stay made it the most magical and memorable five days of our lives. Your villa was the perfect place to host our wedding weekend and every single guest was completely blown away by the villa and everything it provided. Thank you for all the suggestions of places to go, restaurants & takeaways, they were all delicious and helped the guests decide what to do on their days in between the wedding. Yes, it is possible to perform civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies in our old chapel

Low season: January, February, March, April, November and December (except for Easter, Christmas and New Year’s Eve) and week days all year around (Monday to Friday)

The venue offers 4 big rooms that can accommodate from 40 up to 150 people and 6 open air spaces.
In case of inclement weather conditions is there a covered appropriate space for all guests?
The venue offers covered spaces which are appropriate in case of bad weather for the entire wedding events.
